(Reuters) – Grocery store operator Albertsons Firms mentioned on Saturday it could ask prospects to not overtly carry firearms at its shops, becoming a member of an array of outlets and retailer chains this week who modified their gun coverage in gentle of a number of mass shootings in america.
“We wish our shops to really feel secure & welcoming for all, so we respectfully ask prospects to not overtly carry firearms in our shops until they’re approved legislation enforcement officers,” the corporate mentioned in a tweet bit.ly/2HPH03R.
The announcement comes as different retailers similar to Walmart Inc (WMT.N) and Kroger Co (KR.N) tweaked their gun coverage, with Walmart saying it could discontinue gross sales of ammunition for handguns and a few assault-style rifles in shops throughout america.
Albertson Firms operates shops throughout 34 U.S. states, in line with the corporate web site.
