The typhoon is predicted to offload four to eight inches of rain on Cuba, with some spaces of the island country seeing as much as a foot of water. The heavy rainfall may just result in “life-threatening flash floods and mudslides,” the National Hurricane Center warned.
“Michael is forecast to be a typhoon, and most likely a significant typhoon when it reaches the northeastern Gulf Coast via mid-week, and typhoon surge and typhoon watches at the moment are in impact for parts of the world,” the Center added.
