5th lawsuit filed against EPA over 2015 mine waste spill
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A 5th lawsuit has been filed in opposition to the U.S. Environmental Coverage Company over a mine waste spill the company inadvertently induced in 2015, polluting rivers in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
The lawsuit was once filed Aug. three in federal courtroom in Albuquerque, New Mexico, via 295 Navajo farmers and ranchers. Their lawyer, Kate Ferlic, mentioned Friday the lawsuit asks for roughly $75 million.
